The novelty of study lies in improving the accuracy of calculation of points of structures made of glued wood having regard to combined stress state. Analytical techniques of calculation are based on strength conditions that adequately represent actual physical state and the character of wood destroying under combined stress state. In this work the problem that concerns combined stress state of glued wood in elements and connections of structural elements is formulated and formalized, and this problem is solved through the use of calculation procedure to be based on the strength condition of wood under combined stress state. The proposed strength condition for combined stress state in points of large panel trusses and triangular strutting systems in case of off-centre jointing of upper chord panels should be included into the present standards as obligatory. It will increase the reliability of long-span structures made of glued wood.
