Liutko O. Religiousness as a component of the Ukrainian mentality and a factor of its self-identity.

In the dissertation the role of its religious-confessional determinant in the conditions of existing ethnoconfessional and regional differentiation is cleared up on the basis of the analysis of archi -tectonics of the Ukrainian mentality. Despite the fact that Ukraine as the ethnonational unity wasn't formed as the religious-confessional unity and confessional centers developed but little in the consciousness of the believers, the image of the united Ukraine and determined centrifugal political tendencies and narrow regional consciousness, religion in the Ukrainian community influences all spiritual and cultural processes. It is an important factor of the ethnical existing of the Ukrainians and their self-identity.
