Dmytrenko O. Phraseological Units for Designation Social-Economic Realias in Modern German: Semantic and Structural Aspects

This thesis focuses on the study of semantic and structural aspects of the phraseological units for designation social-economic realias in modern German by taking in account their ethnic and cultural specifics. The dissertation suggests a comprehensive analysis of the source of the studied phraseological units, the ways of their formation as a result of primary and secondary phraseological proсess. The comprehensive analysis made it possible to define the ways and mechanisms which lead to the integrity of meaning of the phraseological units and group them into the blocks, which show the peculiarities of the denotative-significative correlation of the studied phraseological units. It has been proved that the economic component belongs to a basic one and is regarded to be the indicator of national-cultural semantics formed either by separate components, or by the whole structure of the phraseological units as well as by their prototypes - genetic free word-combination. The onomasiological and semasiological analysis has revealed phraseological derivation mechanisms and the role of the phraseological units for designation social-economic realias in the enrichment of the vocabulary of modern German.
