Essay

Object of research: forming the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in post-reform period. Goal of research: the justification of theoretic-methodical principles and forming of practical recommendations about increasing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. In the course of researching the following methods were used: the analysis and synthesis, abstract-logical, the method of groupings, cluster analysis, graphical, correlation and regression analysis, economic-mathematical modelling. Results of research: existing views are summarized and the own vision of the essence of “competition” and “competitiveness of agricultural enterprises” categories are disclosed; the factors, forming the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises, are systematized; the methodical approach to estimation the competitiveness level of agricultural enterprises is offered; the current state and the trends of development of agricultural enterprises of Kharkiv region are revealed, the level of its competitiveness is estimated; the influence of resource provision level on competitiveness of agricultural enterprises is researched; the dynamics of changes in the competitiveness of major agricultural products and the factors, that have an influence on its level, are analyzed; the optimal and minimum level of specialization and concentration of agricultural production in agricultural enterprises are proved. The positions of increasing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises are developed and implemented. Sphere of introduction - agricultural enterprises, organs of state regulation, educational establishments.
