Essay

Investigation object: synthetic derivatives of quinoline and pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinoline. Investigation aim: Method development for synthesis of pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinolines and oxo-derivatives from substituted quinolines, examination of reactivity of pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinoline derivatives and theoretical interpretation of corresponding reactions selectivity. Investigation methods and instruments: preparative methods for synthesis and work-up, oncoming synthesis, physicochemical methods of analysis (NMR spectroscopy, X-ray analysis, IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy, TLC, LC/MS, elemental analysis), quantum chemical methods. Theoretical and practical results: general regularities of cyclocondansation of quinoline derivatives with hydrazines leading to pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinolines were found, reactions of pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinolines with electrophiles and nucleophiles, as well as oxidation and reduction reactions were investigated. Novelty: New classes of derivatives were synthesized, new! methods for synthesis of pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinolines were proposed and the known methods were enhanced. Degree of introduction: the results of investigation were introduced into the training and scientific work of National University of Pharmacy of Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Field of introduction: synthesis of biological active compounds.
