Essay

Object: the late aseptic instability and materials in the hinge of the hip joint endoprostheses. The purpose: to ground expedience of application of single-crystal corundum in the hinge of the hip joint endoprosthesis and to perfect the construction of endoprosthesis. Methods of study: informatively-patent research, clinical, roentgenological and laboratory research of patients during treatment, experimental, morphological and statistical researches. It is first experimentally certain that the particles of single-crystal corundum practically do not cause the inflammatory reaction of adjoining fabrics which are the certificate of his biotsluggishnes. As a result of tribologycal researches was received comparative estimation of size the coefficients of friction in the most widespread combinations pairs of materials («metal ? polymer», «ceramics ? polymer»), which are used in the hinges of hip joint endoprostheses and also offered ? «single-crystal corundum ? polymer» and «single-crystal corundum ? single-crystal corundum». In the experiment for the first time was got new information about properties of durability the head and cup hip joint endoprosthesis from a single-crystal corundum and grounded expedience of the use of single-crystal corundum in the hinge of hip joint endoprosthesis. Are grounded the basic medical-technical requirements to using of single-crystal corundum in the hinge of hip joint endoprostheses, are created the pre-productions models of these constructions. Are offered for the clinical use the new types of constructions hip joint endoprostheses with a single-crystal corundum in a hinge (patents of Ukraine № 65197, № 65198 и № 79551). The clinical testing of proposed types of the hip joint endoprostheses comprising single-crystal corundum in the hinge that was showed reliability of offered implantates and possibility their use in medical practice in the following. The results of the studies have been introduced into the clinical practice of State institution Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of the Ukrainian Academy of Medical Sciences, Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of M. Horkyi Donetsk National Medical University, orthopedics department of Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital, casualty ward of Specialized Medical Unit #6 of the city of Dnipropetrovsk.
