Essay

Оbject: ischemic optic nerve neuropathy. Purpose: rising of treatment's efficacy in patients with optic nerve neuropathy. Methods: visometry, perimetry, biomicro-scopy, direct and return ophthalmoscopy, reoophthalmography, index of eritrocytes deformation, threshold of electric sensitivity of optic nerve by phosphen, detection of glutathioneperoxidase activity, transketolases, glucose-6-phosphat concentra-tion, levels of oxidised and restore glutathione forms; ophthalmoscope, spherop-erimeter, spectrophotometer "Specol-210", rheograph R4-02. Scientific knowledge have been added by processes condition in case of peroxidation products in blood of patients with ischemic optic nerve neuropathy. For the first time it was estab-lished that application L-lysine aescinat in complex treatment of patients with ischemic optic nerve neuropathy has normalising influence on exchange of lipid hydroperoxides, activates thiol regenerative equivalents synthesis and activity of lipophil antioxidant system, on indicators of haemodynamic, rheologic properties of blood and functional condition of optic nerve. The new method of prognosis, when chronic ischemic optic nerve neuropathy changes on acute, was worked out. Results of work are introduced at State Institution "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the AMS of Ukraine", Ivano-Frankovsk regional and central city hospitals and in some of the Ivano-Frankovsk central regional hos-pitals, in educational process of State "Ivano-Frankovsk National Medical Univer-sity".
