Object of research - metal of details of a drive and a suspension of electric locomotives ЧС-2, ЧС-4, ЧС-8, restored by electroslag method (ESM). The subject of research - a chemical composition, structure, non-metallic inclusions, ferrite grain, hardness, microhardness, a fluidity limit, time resistance, relative lengthening, relative narrowing, impact strength, low-cycle fatigue. Methods of research - the roentgen-spectral microanalysis, roentgen-structure analysis, fractographic, metallographic analysis methods, pulse an echo-method, a method of penetration. It is established, that major factors of increase of a resource of work of the restored details is heat treatment and cleanliness of fusions zones' on non-metallic inclusions. It is defined the processes on which passes desulfurization metal at electroslag method. It is shown, that with quantity increase restoration increases low-cycle fatigue of metal of a basis and, as consequence, service life of the restored details.
