Object - creative findings of the representatives of poetic aristocratic group of Cavaliers. Aim - to reveal the nature of correlation of their creative findings with the style tendencies of the epoch with the emphasis on the Rococo tendencies' conception in the process of systemic analysis of the poetics of Cavalier-poets' literary works. Methods - socio-cultural approach and research strategy of "close reading". The general conception of the lives and literary works of R. Herrick, T. Carew, J. Suckling, R. Lovelace and E. Waller is given. It is for the first time in literary studies that the poetics of writings of these English authors which have not been translated into Ukrainian is analysed. Much attention is given to the stylistic peculiarity of the Cavaliers' poetry and specific nature of Baroque, Classicistic and Rococo elements' combination in the context of their poems. It states that despite the fact that the elements of all prevailing styles of the XVII century - Mannerism, Baroque and Classicism are originally combined in the poetry of Cavaliers, its consonance with Rococo mentality and vivid presence of Rococo tendencies in it prove that Cavaliers originated Rococo tradition in English Literature.
