The objects are the novels by W. Styron "Sophie's Choice" and J. Barnes "A History of the World in 10 ? Chapters". The aim is to identify the specific contextual and individual-author furthers of the functioning of literary archetypes of Home, Way and Child in the novels by W. Styron "Sophie's Choice" and J. Barnes "A History of the World in 10 ? Chapters". The methods are synthesis of comparative-historical method, holistic analysis, elements of mythopoetic and hermeneutic methods. Universal signs of literary archetypes are considered. The basic mythopoetical features of functioning of the archetypes of home, way and child while depicting totalitarianism/fascism are investigated in the dissertation. The conceptual importance of the biblical component of archetypes of home, way and child are revealed in the art world of the above-mentioned novels. It is proven that there is no place for "native home" and child in the artistic dimension of the novels, and functioning of these archetypes becomes the illustration of "minus-technique". Application spheres are the training courses.
