Essay

Design and performance of reinforced-concrete building connections and joints are proposed. Appropriateness оf application of theory of reliability methods for designation the most dangerous levels and loading condition applied to building structures is defined. By test analysis of monolithic frame joints is ascertained that repeated loads can appreciably change their durability, crack formation and deformation. It is ascertained that changing of durability, crack formation and deformation of monolithic frame joints depend on a lot of factors. Basic factors of stress reduction of joint should be considered concrete stress reduction on compressive resistance or tensile strength, approaching low-cycle fatigue in local zone of joint, specially under high level repeated loads.
