Specific clinical, haemodynamic and humoral parameters for left ventricular hypertrophy in patients with moderate arterial hypertension were determined. Values of TGF-?1, nitric oxide, circulatory indexes of extracellular matrix of myocardium involving in the processes of left ventricular remodeling, formation of left ventricular hypertrophy, change of its constrictive properties in patients with moderate arterial hypertension and the prognostic criteria of therapy specified by the ACE inhibitor (quinapril) and angiotensin receptors type 1 blocker (candesartan) were investigated. Recommendations are given in the differentiated therapy of patients with moderate arterial hypertension and different variants of left ventricular remodeling.
