Essay

Object - fine-grained concretes on cast-iron fillers on basis of modified cement GIR-2; purpose - development fine-grained concretes on cast-iron fillers with high physicomecanical properties for protection from ionizing radiation; methods - physicochemical, mathematical design of experiments; novelty - theoretically grounded & experimentally confirmed ability of receiving effective radiation shielding concretes that resisting to long-term exposure neutron & gamma radiations & that contain high-alkaline calcium hydrosulfoferrite; determined that formation in cement stone well crystallized hydrates type AFm-& AFt- phases that lose bounded water at high temperature will bring to increasing of resistance of concretes to long-term exposure ionizing radiations & to complex increasing chemical resistance; shown that application of damping addition in consisting of cement will increase resistance of concretes to long-term exposure ionizing radiations; results - developed technological regulation & technical specifications; concretes are introduced as radiation shielding coating at X-ray room; branch - construction.
