Forostyany A. Prophylactic Function of Police as Agency of Inquiry

This dissertation deals with theoretical and practical problems related to accomplishment of prophylactic function by police as an agency of inquiry. Besides, it's analyzed practical activity of subdivisions of inquiry of internal affairs bodies, normative base and sources to develop provisions of scientific theory of crimes committing prevention when criminal cases are investigated. The author specifies general theoretical concept of prophylactic function of police as an agency of inquiry, discloses its features, essence, and provide with respective classification of criminal procedural functions in it. Methods of prophylactic function accomplishment, covering both procedural and not procedural activity of agencies of inquiry of internal affairs bodies, are individually considered.
