Essay

The study object: turbo codes, timer signals and their joint use. The purpose of dissertational research is the frequency efficiency of timing signals, energy efficiency of turbo codes and estimation of joint use of time signals with turbo codes. Methods of research: coding theory, theory of signals, probability theory, mathematical statistics, mathematical modeling. The objectives of this thesis are to increase both the frequency efficiency of timing signals and energy efficiency of turbo codes, and estimate of joint use of time signals with turbo codes. Scientific novelty of the results. Propose design constructions of multilevel timing signals (MTS), which reduce the signal’s spectral width, thus improving the frequency efficiency. New analytical expressions for calculating the number of realizations and the average duration for MTS with the interval between the meaning modulation moments (MMM) greater or equal than half the Nyquist interval. Improved conditions for the formation interleaver s-type and code-matched interleaver to search for permutations sequences of data elements in turbo codes, which improve energy efficiency of turbo codes. New analytical expressions on calculation of the probability decision for time signal constructions with turbo codes and fragmentation, displacement of time signals. Propose composite construction timing signals (TS) with turbo codes, which increase the energy efficiency compared to TS and increase the information rate compared to digital signals. Selected areas of study directly related to the objectives set in regulation of the Ministers Cabinet of Ukraine № 316 from 07.06.2006 "The public list, academic and research programs in priority areas of science and technology development for 2006-2010", and in “Concept of Ukrtelecom development to 2010". The results of research have been implemented in the Southern Energy Company (the implementation act dated 12.05.2009) and in Miratel telecommunication company (the implementation act dated 20.05.2010).
