Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the integrated characteristic of robbery as a basic criminal category provided with several articles of Ukrainian Criminal Code. The general notion of robbery has been defined as well. The historical development of the legislation on criminal liability for robbery has been analyzed and the comparison of current national legislation with foreign ones has been given. The paper also presents objective and subjective aspects of robbery as a crime and as corpus delicti; determines the drawbacks of the norms examined and proposes the ways for their improvement.
