Essay

The purpose of the presented work was a substantiation of necessity to develop and introduce a new silicon impression material into dental practice for the improvement of efficiency and quality of orthopaedic treatment in production of different denture constructions. The formula of new domestic S-silicon impression material was developed. On the basis of the conducted laboratory researches, the characteristics of material Consiflex were proven to be corresponding to the level of the investigated imported standards and samples of ISO 4823:2000. The developed practical recommendations will let doctors to apply silicon impression material Consiflex in clinical practice.
