The thesis is devoted to the research of theoretical aspects of regulatory policy in the sphere of foreign economic activity and customs tariff as its main tool. The author generalizes scientific approaches with regards to determining the customs and tariff regulation as an economic category, summarizes the concepts of liberal and protection state policy and the expediency of its application, studies the development of customs tariff tools as well as the transformation of the customs tariff functions in modern conditions.
