The thesis is dedicated to research of music life in Lugansk region in the 1st part of the XX century as a whole historical and cultural phenomenon in the context function of national music art. At the first time on the basis of the wide range of local archival sources, found and put into use, having demonstrated a variety and many-side of music life in Lugansk region in the 1st part of the XX century. A music activity of professional, amateur groups, cultural and educational institutions is enlightened.
