Essay

The dissertation is devoted to direct synthesis, spectroscopic and X-ray structural investigations of М/Cr(III) (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Cd) complexes. The new synthetic procedures based on the interaction of metal powder or metal oxides with Reinecke's salt in the nonaqueous solutions (methanol, dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide, acetonitrile) of N,O-donor ligands have been elaborated. 17 new heterometallic compounds were prepared using this synthetic route. The compounds were examined by means of IR-, UV/Vis, EPR-spectroscopy, mass-spectrometry, magnetochemistry, thermogravimetry and single crystal X-Ray crystallography.
