Essay

Dissertation's goal is to explain the causes, the effects, and the mechanisms of the phenomenon of institutional isomorphism in the democratic transformation of postsocialist countries; the content of the concept "institutional isomorphism" and similar phenomena are explained; the theoretical approaches and methodological bases for research of the processes of institutional isomorphisation have been made clear; the peculiarities of political processes under the conditions of institutional isomorphism have been characterized; its place in the socio-political transformation in Ukraine on the level of democracy consolidation has been defined; the manifestations of institutional isomorphism in political culture and realization of healthcare policy in Ukraine have been figured out; it has been proved that institutional isomorphism complicates the processes of democratization as well as preserves the capabilities of institutions and authorities to function under the conditions of swift social and political transformations.
