Essay

Complex structurally functional research of Non-Christian components of reli-gious outlook of the modern orthodox Ukrainians, spent on the basis of the multidi-mensional, interdisciplinary system research approach, ascertains presence at ortho-dox religious consciousness non-orthodox religious and quasireligious, and also mythological and secular (scientific and philosophical) components, which come to light both in religious outlook and attitude, and in religious behaviour, at level of an individual, religious group and at level of all society, and are the result of the proc-ess of syncretyzation of orthodox outlook of Ukrainians which occurs throughout all orthodox history of the country. The author comes to a conclusion, that orthodox religious forms do not satisfy spiri-tual needs of modern Ukrainians. They are replaced with forms of an orthodox myth as most corresponding present of the form of an embodiment unconsciously cultural trans-formed basic vital intentions of the person.
