The subject of the paper is oral (tele- and radio-) advertising, namely, the slogan, with the aim of researching its linguistic characteristies. Methods used included, descriptive, quantitative, that of seientific observation, instrumental methods of experimental phoneties. Analysis of all components creating the illocutive force of the slogan was offered in the paper and is new and original. Sphere of practical application - Teaching, Politology, Marketing.
