Dissertation for competition of a scientific degree of the Candidate of Medical Science on the specialty 14.01.13 - "Infectious diseases". - Institute of epidemiology and infectious diseases by L.V.Gromashevsky Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine", Kyiv, 2010. The features of clinical symptoms and improving treatment of rotavirus infection in children of the first five years of life were studied. A study of the history, clinical manifestations, results of blood, urine, stool investigations performed in 2238 children. Rotavirus antigens identified in stool in 1067 (47.68%) children. It was shown that most cases of rotavirus infection in children registered during the first two years of life. Most cases occur during winter and spring months of the year. This justifies the introduction of vaccination against it. Determined that for children with rotavirus infection in the beginning of the illness occurs vomiting, dehydration IIst., hi fever. We revealed that the presence of leukocytosis in the blood, band shift does not exclude rotavirus infection in children. It was shown the efficiency and of the use of immunoglobulin for oral use Tryglobulin and Lacidofil probiotic treatment of children in the first five years of age with rotavirus infection.
