The dissertation is dedicated to Theoretical-legal analysis of the notion "information sovereignty". The author's definition of this notion has been introduced. The comparative analysis with adjoining categories "stat sovereignty", "information security", "freedom of information", "independence of mass media" is being suggested. For the first time in the study of low the author has defined and substantiated features, principles, subjects and mechanisms of informational sovereignty legal regulation. The legal sources that regulate in the sphere of information sovereignty have been systematized as well as scientific research of scientist in this field.
