Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to investigation of the development process of the Ukrainian song-choral music for children. Thematic and imagery are analyzed and generalized, genre and stylistic concepts of musical compositions for children written during XX century are delineated in the context of common trends of the Ukrainian musical art. The mechanisms of structuring and the peculiarities of dramaturgy of song-choral cycles and cantatas for children are defined in comparison with typological attributes of "adult" music as well as the factors of genre stylistic variability of traditional models of song-choral cycles and cantatas for children are distinguished on the basis of compositions of L. Dychko and B. Filz.
