The derivational families of nouns and verbs of the modern Crimean Tatar language are analyzed in this work. The thesis analyzes the approaches to such key concepts of investigation, as the system, the status of word formation, the basic unit of word-formation system - derivational family, derivational paradigm, derivational chain, derivational relations and motivation. Derivational family of words is considered as a complex unit of word formation, reflecting various system connections of derivatives and playing an important role in the organization of the system of word formation in the Crimean Tatar language. The structural components of nominal and verbal word-formation families in the Crimean Tatar language have been identified and fully characterized under investigation. The types of formative motivation and formal derivation have been described; the main types of formative values of derivatives in the Crimean Tatar language, as well as ways and facilities of their expression in the analyzed word-formation families have been identified. The supplement contains word-formation families of nouns naming parts of body, adjectives of color terms, and verbs of perception in the Crimean Tatar language.
