Objects of researches - harmfulness and biological characteristics of the beet leaf weevil, entomophagous, insecticides. Purpose - to improve the system of measures to protect sugar beet from the beet leaf weevil, taking into account the features of biology and pest growing technology culture in Forest-Steppe Zone of Ukraine. Methods: laboratorial, vegetative, field and industrial research, a statistical method. Scientific novelty - in the Central Forest-Steppe Zone of Ukraine refined features of the biology of beet leaf weevil, depending on the abiotic, biotic factors and antropic agrobiocenosis sugar beet in modern conditions their growth. A monitoring adult abundance of the pest on different fields of crop rotation and set it stationale distribution. Investigated trophic links beet leaf weevil, as well as the influence of intoxication of sugar beet new insecticides on fecundity of females pest. Evaluated the effectiveness of modern insecticides and their mixtures at different ways to use (processing of sugar beet seeds, spraying crops and smalldroping into the soil) against the pest. Field of application – agriculture, plant protection.
