Essay

The thesis focuses on the actual problem of modern nеоnatology - the study of early diagnostic criteria for hypoxic-ischemic CNS injury in preterm infants and preventing adverse outcomes. The risk factors for nervous system injuries in preterm infants have been researched. Psychomotor development of premature infants depending on the severity of hypoxic-ischemic CNS injury in preterm infants has been studied. Diagnostic and prognostic markers of severity of hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in terms of NSE, VEGF, BDNF in blood serum on the 5-7-th and on the 28th day of life. Brain structural changes detected by MRI have been studied and their disagreement with the results of ultrasound study of brain has been determined. Predictors of remote adverse effects of the nervous system pathology in preterm infants based on the results of psychomotor development by the Bayley Scales of Infant Development, indicators of neurospecific proteins and detected changes in brain by MRI have been determined. The efficiency of complex medical use of neuroprotector CERAXON® from 1 week of life and stimulating massage from the 10th day of life and / or from corrected age of 32 weeks to prevent the adverse effects of hypoxic-ischemic injury of CNS has been proved.
