The thesis is an integrated, scientific research complying theoretical and practical issues. There were analyzed and grounded the content and concept of investigatory mistakes. The classification of the investigatory mistakes had been examined as well as the effects and reasons, which cause them. During the research the particularly attention had been paid to the issues of internal and judicial control and prosecutor's supervision as the procedural means of prevention, detection and elimination of the investigatory mistakes.
