Essay

The dissertation examines specific features of programmity in piano compositions by C. Debussy and M. Ravel. A complex of its genre and style means has been determined and systemized in their manifestation through musical exposition, whose construction and development being reduced in the texture programme of a musical composition. On the basis of theoretical generalizations and analytical conclusions a definition of the concept of "the texture programme of musical compositions" is suggested which stands out by stressing a unity of the composer and performer constituents in the logical structure of artistically perceptive sound space of a composition.
