Essay

This dissertation is dedicated to the process of understanding the phenomena of pianist-leader in vocal-piano duet formation and development. Basing on the analysis of the specific traits of such kind of ensemble the communication chain "author -masterpiece - interpreter" has been widened into multiunit system including two authors - the poet and the composer and two performers - the singer and the pianist. Concerning the research context the instrumental component has been highlighted as the one that influenced much the formation and development of chamber-vocal genre and vocal cycle in particular.
