Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of specific viola style in the context of the evolution of chamber and instrumental music in Austro-German tradition in the period from late Baroque to J. Brahms. Chamber style of playing is considered in the light of historical evolution of genre development with support on its understanding as a special type of musical thinking. Viola style is considered in the aspect of interaction of three components of chamber-instrumental genre.
