Ella S. The historiography of the German population's history in the South of Ukraine (end of XVIII - to the beginning of XXІ century)

The thesis is a complex study dedicated to the historiographical analysis of historical and ethnological literature, historical conceptions, leading tendencies in studying the history and culture of German population in the South of Ukraine. For the first time in Ukrainian historiography the history of formation and development of the studies in this sphere during two centuries has been restored from the end of XVIII - to the beginning of XXІ century. The evolution of Ukrainian German-studying studios was retraced, main historical periods of institutions in Ukraine are offered, with special attention being given to the topic of organization and functioning of modern scientific centers and to the activity of certain history researchers of German community of Southern Ukraine.
