Essay

The thesis deals with analysis of G. Skovoroda's outlook in relation with two traditions of Christian thought - the Eastern, the Greek-Byzantine and the Western, the Latin. It is outlined the main features of G. Skovoroda's religious worldview - theocentrism, christocentrism, christologism (with an emphasis on God and man unity) providentialism, and mysticism, as well as developed an original conception, characterising his outlook from the point of aestheticism and psychological analysis by the thinker. Conformably, the aestheticism is connected with influence of the Eastern, as psychological analysis with the Western philosophical and theological traditions.
