Essay

Thesis is dedicated to synthesis of novel amphiphilic comb-like copolymers (or with peroxide groups), with controlled ratio of hydrophilic and lipophilic fragments, via polymer-analogical transformations of binary maleic anhydride copolymers and 1-olefins or octylmethacrylate. The specialties of acylation by polyanhydride alcohols were established. Microphase segregation abilities of amphiphilic comb-like copolymers and their ability to form self-assembled micellar structures were studied by the means of colloid-chemical and X-ray scattering studies of copolymer solution. These self-assembled micellar structures were utilized as nanoreactors for preparing silver nanoparticles.
