Olijnyk O. Legal regulation of the subsoil protection under Ukrainian legislation.

The thesis is devoted to sophisticated and comprehensive research of the problematic issues relating to the legal regulation of the subsoil protection in the Ukraine. Substance of the legal definition of "subsoil" has been given; mining legal relations have been distinguished from the adjacent land legal relations; the development of the legal regulation of the subsoil protection has been researched; the legal nature of the main provisions of the Subsoil Code of Ukraine has been established. The content (component parts) of the legal protection of the subsoil has been identified and, based on this, this institute of mining law has been defined. The improved mechanism of allowing the possession of the subsoil has been proposed. The road plan for improving the current mechanism of the legal protection of the subsoil use, with the intent to protect it, has been developed. A system of measures has been suggested to increase the efficiency of legal liability for violations in the field of the subsoil protection.
