Tymoshchuk A. Piano cycles for children in Ukrainian composers' oeuvres: figurative and artistic aspect.

The thesis is dedicated to the research of the peculiarities and original features of piano cycles for children, created by Ukrainian composers. This thesis is the attempt to present a scientific interpretation of piano pieces for young performers in the context of development of piano repertoire for children. In the research the comparative analysis of the classical piano albums for children by R. Schumann and his followers with similar opuses of Ukrainian composers was made, and due to this the trends of inheritance and relation to the analogous compositions by Western Europe and Russian composers have been revealed. Also the opinion that there exists a national genre type of piano album for children is justified in this thesis.
