Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of contact interaction of solids, boundaries of which have grooves, areas with thermal resistance and rough surfaces, taking into account thermal conductivity of the medium in the interfacial gaps. The formulated problems are reduced to sets of nonlinear singular integrodifferential equations in the functions of gap height and temperature jump at the areas with thermal resistance. An analytical-numerical approach for solving such sets in the class of functions equal to zero together with their first derivatives at the extremities of the interval of integration is developed. Relying on the proposed approach, set of investigations of thermoelastic interaction of half-spaces with different surface inhomogeneities is carried out. The regularities of the effect of thermal conductivity of interfacial medium on contact parameters of the solids at mechanical and thermal load are examined. The effect of thermomechanical delamination is investigated as well as the directional effect of heat flows in the presence of heat-permeable medium in intercontact gaps and surface roughness.
