Essay

Thesis deal with firstly performed special integrated textual research of manuscriptal heritage of the M. Leontovych stored in the Institute of manuscript of V. I. Vernadsky National library of Ukraine. Textual research of M. Leontovych’s autographs was directed to analysis of original author's manuscript, that allows to open future prospect for widening, intensification and clarification of life and career of an artist. Method of integrated textual analysis allows to trace of generation and implementation of com-poser’s artistic concept for some composition, and formation of composer’s individual style. It was firstly analyzed and introduced to musicology the songs “Everything I know, Everything I forgot” (lyrics by G. Chuprynka) and “Memoirs” (lyrics by M. Voronoy), all available version of opera “On mermaid’s Easter” (1st, 2nd and 3rd revisions) and libretto of the opera composed by N. Tanashevych. First time performed comparative analysis of author’s revisions of M. Verykivsky’s and M. Skoryk’s opera.
