Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of adsorption properties of fiber-optic sensors based on tin oxide to ammonia molecules in aqueous solutions. The sensor parameters such as area of sensitivity, threshold adsorption sensitivity and resolution of sensors and the main adsorption parameters: the effective capture cross section of the molecule by adsorption states, activation energy of adsorption and the binding energy between the adsorbed molecule and the surface have been calculated. It was proposed new theoretical model, which allows to calculate the theoretical dependences of the sensitivity on the ammonia concentration.
