Essay

The dissertation report deals with the problem related to the automation the synthesis of discrete simulation models. The main result of the thesis is the developing a CASE-tool, which automates the process of building simulation models for GPSS / PC and POSES++. Benefits of using CASE-tools in comparison with the use of modeling systems with built-in GUI are defined. The main functional requirements for the CASE-tool support as a means of visual simulation are listed. The method of generation of simulation software codes according to the formal models and dialog notation is described. The need of extending the basic set of parametric models with the ring network and the router is justified. The formal models and information technology of designing the interactive notations are created. Procedures for conversion dialog notations in the program code are made. Formal models, dialog and procedures notation for conversion dialog notations in program code for Petri nets system POSES ++ are made. The system ISS2000, based on listed formal models is created. The results of using the system are given. Key words: network discrete-event simulation, queuing system, formal model, a dialog notation, ring network, router, Petri nets.
