Essay

Investigation object: the interaction process between an acoustic field and a long control product. In result, in the product has formed impulse package, that has information about defects presence. Target of investigation: improvement of ultrasonic testing for long products, that have diameter from 10 mm to 50 mm and length up to 6 m. Investigation methods: theoretical aspects have based on differential and integral calculus, vector analysis and the theory of waves. That methods have used for mathematical model constructing and calculations of acoustic paths converters. Acoustic properties evaluation of the products was carried out by pulse-echo and diffraction-time ultrasonic testing methods and metallographic method (the Bragg's method). Schematic methods and system engineering have been used for analog parts construction. To perform the experimental part used serial ultrasound transducers, defectoscopes and oscilloscope. Theoretical and practical results: the ultrasonic testing method for long products (round, hexagonal and square) with diameter from 10 mm to 50 mm and length up to 6 meters have been improved. It will improve control productivity more than 10 times. , has been further developed a mathematical model of the acoustic path for the ultrasonic transducer impulse control volume waves rolled with defects, taking into account the attenuation coefficients and transformation of acoustic waves, which made it possible to determine transducer characteristic. New: an express method of ultrasonic monitoring of long products, based on the effective application of the theory and practice of volume waves, due to which the improved productivity monitoring dozens of times. Degree of introduction: the technological instructions for the control of the calibrated rods of diameter from 10 mm to 50 mm and a length of 6 meters, which were introduced at the JSC "Kharkov Boiler Mechanical Plant" and PE "DDP "(Nikolaev). A new method that can be used for express testing of long products with a diameter of 10 mm to 50 mm at the Steel Companies, as well as input testing at enterprises-consumers of these bars.
