Essay

This scientific work presents new solution for actual medical problem associated with increasing efficacy of endodontic treatment of chronic apical periodontitis by using optimized concentrations of ozone-oxygen mixture to desinfect root canals. Experimentally and clinically prove the expediency of dosed ozone-oxygen mixture with high ozone concentrations (5-10 mg / L) and suction of gas from the canal of the tooth at which the small amount of ozone-oxygen mixture, beyond the apex of the tooth, generates oxidative stress in tissues of the periodontium that enhances antioxidant protection, normalize functional response in the mouth, prevents surgical intervention, relapse and achieve 90% elimination of microbial factors. The method of desinfection of root canals and a special device for the dosed injection of the ozone mixture into the canal of the tooth without the complications of the periodontium is developed.
