The dissertation is a research of the ways of formation and evolution of magnate archives of the Right-bank Ukraine in the XVI-XVIIIth centuries, based on the history of archival holdings of magnate families of Vyshnevetsky in Vyshnivets, Mnishky in Dukla and Murowani Liashky, Potocki in Tulchyn and Sanhushko in Lubartov and Zaslav. We traced the genealogical and property relationships of the archives' owners, career of the members of their families. Established personal membership and social status of Mnishky archivists. Paid attention to reconstruction of the archives of Vyshnevetsky and Mnishky, revealed changes in their structure during the XVIIIth century. We examined the information potential of the archives of magnate families with regard to their value for studying the political, military, social, economic, intellectual history of Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Russia and other neighboring countries, diplomatic history, law, culture and everyday life. We studied the fate of the archives Vyshnevetsky, Mnishky, Sanhushky and Potocki since the division of Poland to 1917. Established the history acquisiton and processing of the magnate archives by the State archives in the Soviet Ukraine after 1921, determined the peculiarities of their description in State archives Kyiv by the end XX century.
