Essay

Rational selection of wheel profiles parameters has been recognized as one of the most effective means of rolling stock and track interaction improvement. The thesis deals with the issues of special rolling wheels derailment counteraction owing to improvement of wheelsets construction by means of creating extra reserve rolling and counter comb profile, as well as creating complex system of derailment counteraction. In the thesis there have been suggested improved mathematical models of specialized freight cars spatial oscillation. There has been considered the wheelset both wheels contact under condition of single-point comb contact on one wheel and two-point contact on the other. The suggested special rolling stock derailment counteraction system contains the following elements: wheelset with reserve rolling profile, sensors controlling wheels position towards rail track and control unit directly connected with braking system and warning system that is in driver's cab.
