The dissertation is dedicated to the complex analysis of the syncretism conception of artistic image, as a cultural specific in general and belles-lettres particular on the material of the works of Ukrainian authoress O. Kobylanska and polish writer J. Iwashkiewich.The syncretism of the artistic image is interpreted as specific indivisible components of literary work, the combination of the heterogeneous elements of the text, which inspite of this do not lose their primary qualities.The syncretism of the artistic image is realized at all levels, starting with the literary trends, concluding with the syncretism appearance on the level of characters.
