Essay

The work contains the results of research concerning the elaboration of recipes for mixed fodder and study of efficiency of its application in feeding of aberdeen angus bull-calves in winter period under the conditions of Western Forest Steppe. While studying the effect of mixed fodder use combined with protein and mineral additives on the general state of the experimental animals' organisms there was studied the content of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, crude protein, carotene, P, Ca and alkaline reserve in their blood. Hematologic indices of experimental bull-calves were within physiological norms without any essential difference between the groups. There was ascertained the fact that introduction of the prepared mixed fodder into the ration of animals fed on the silage - concentrate basis provides their needs according to the norms, it has a positive effect on the metabolic processes in the organisms of bull-calves, improves the process of digestion of the nutrients, increases meat producing ability, quality of beef and profitability of its production During the period of winter stalled keeping of cattle on the silage - concentrate rations under the conditions of Western Forest Steppe of Ukraine there was proved reasonable and efficient to use the following recipe of fodder (%): fodder wheat - 40, barley - 30, wheat middlings - 10, soy grain of the sort Yug - 30 - 15, tuff from Berestovets bed, Rivne region - 3,5, table salt - 1,5.
