Thesis for a candidate degree in history by speciality 07.00.06 - Historiography, Source Studies and Special Historical Disciplines. - M.S.Hrushevs'ky Institute of Ukrainian Archaeography and Source Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. - Kyiv, 2010. The thesis provides a study of descriptive-statistical sources of landownership and land use in Northern Priazovie of the second half of XIX - early XX century. The research reveals historiography of question, the regularities of formation and movement of the complex sources. On the basis of historical, statistical and source studies methods the classification and systematization of sources are conducted. The terms of forming of basic descriptive-statistical publications are described, documents' informational potential and authenticity Such sources complexes as polubovnie skaski and descriptions of private landownerships of Melitopol district (1912) are first entered to the scientific appeal.
