Essay

The results of experimental studies of polymer threads for short-term static tests and creep tests have been presented in this thesis. The nonlinearity areas of the viscoelastic properties, instantaneous deformation diagrams and long-term strength diagrams of the investigated materials have been determined. To describe the creep processes of fibrous materials with sizeable finite strains, the version of the nonlinear theory of viscoelasticity, which uses the logarithmic measure of strain, has been proposed. The numerical algorithms and engineering model to predict the mechanical behavior of plain weave and 2/2 twill weave under biaxial tension have been developed.
